This is how i always imagined “HEAVEN”, I never knew that what I imagined actually existed in this present world and that also in my own country.
I had never visited Hunza valley before, this was my first ever trip to these valleys and that also in autumn and like the locals say “in autumn every leaf turns into a flower”. The whole valley is covered with splashes of red, yellow, pink. Fruits trees of apples, grapes and pomegranates are everywhere laden with fruits. My limited imagination cannot envision the real heaven to be more beautiful than this one.
“The Hopar Valley is a beautiful scenic portion of the Nagar Valley in northern Pakistan. It is about 10 km away from Nagar Khas, the principal city of the Nagar Valley. Nature has made it full of high mountains, long glaciers, blue lakes and pastures.Golden peak. Miar peak, Rush peak and Kapal peak are the most famous peaks. Hoper glacier ( Bualter glacier) and Barpu glacier increase the beauty of the area and Rush lake is eye catching for hundreds of tourists through out the year.”
When we entered the valley it was like we had entered a dream. The beautiful roads with eucalyptus and fruit trees on the borders and the autumn leaves falling like rain.
In distance villages could be seen on mountains, as if an artist had painted them
The locals were busy with potato and pumpkin harvest in their small fields. Every house in Hunza has their own small land for growing vegetables and fruit trees.
There are three types of apple trees, green apples, pink apples and blood red apples. Apple trees are everywhere laden with big apples. This valley is blessed with plenty of fruits that even their domestic animals eat apples or any other fruit of the season.
we made stop for tea at a local tea stall before visiting the famous glacier of this valley and were welcomed by a beautiful little girl.
People of this valley are very simple with honest smiles and proud looks as they are not dependent on anyone and even the governments. They make their living by selling semi precious gems which are abundant in this area and they look satisfied with their lives because they grow their own food and fruits.
After having tea we first headed to the glacier which had turned jade green in color because of the green colored stone mountains in its surroundings.
The village next to the glacier was filled with Autumn colors. There were magpies every where as it is the local sparrow of this area. The houses are made of stone and are almost camouflaged with the surroundings. Every house has their share of domestic animals, fruit trees and land for growing vegetables. so every person in this village is rich but very hard working not like the rich of the cities.
I am sure i cannot covey the exact beauty of this land through my photographs as it is 100 times more beautiful in real and no photograph can do justice to the actual beauty of this land.
